Rustavi Azot Indorama hosted a large-scale interagency command-post and tactical exercise at its premises. The exercise was organized within the framework of the European Union–funded project “eNOVATION”, in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus.
The exercise was based on a simulated chemical incident scenario and aimed to test and further strengthen coordination mechanisms among responding agencies in practice. Accordingly, a field exercise was conducted on the plant territory, where participants had the opportunity to observe on site the coordinated and operational actions of both the company’s internal services and external emergency response agencies.
As part of the exercise, a field Operations Command Centre (Headquarters) was established, where representatives of the company and partner agencies worked together in a unified operational environment.
The exercise brought together representatives of state institutions: the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rustavi City Hall, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, international experts, and partner organizations.

Initiatives like this provide an opportunity to test resources in conditions as close to real-life scenarios as possible, while also strengthening cooperation with state institutions and international partners.
