“Buy Georgian”- the first international business forum, on October 10, 2017 was held at “Hotels &Preference Hauling Tbilisi” with the purpose of to support increasing Georgian product sale on export and domestic market. The event was initiated and organized by the movement KAR.GE.  The supporters of “Buy Georgian” were Georgian producers’ Federation (GPF), Georgian Employers’ Association (GEO) and Tax Payers’ Union (TPU). The international partners of the forum are World-OKTA-overseas Korean Trade Association Tbilisi Branch and EU4Business –EBRD Credit Line. Media partners: Business Media Georgia (BM) and IMEDI FM. General sponsor of the event is JSC “Rustavi Azot”.

Within the Forum panel discussions were held on the theme of production of Georgian products and exportation. Representatives of retail & wholesale trade centers, networks, hotels, and restaurants participated in the Forum. Georgian startupers, who started their own production this year, also attended the forum. In the framework of the forum face to face meeting were held and further collaboration issues were planned among the parties.

According to business forum organizers it is important that accessibility to finances shall be increased for Georgian startup companies, which will help them to export their product to strategic markets. As the organizers say, International Business Forum – “Buy Georgian” will be permanently held every year.
