The Minister was briefed on the ongoing environmental and technological changes at the facility.
During the visit, the Minister inspected key sites, including the renovated nitric acid workshop, a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility used in cyanide production, and a condensation-type power plant. These upgrades are part of the company’s large-scale initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and improving energy efficiency.
It is noteworthy that since 2022, the facility has been integrated into the continuous emissions monitoring system (airMonitoring), which enables the Ministry to maintain ongoing oversight of harmful substance emissions.
