Rustavi Azot Indorama is proud to have supported the first CO₂ mineralisation pilot project in Georgia, carried out by the Block Energy plc, a development and production company focused on Georgia.
Mr. Prakash Kejriwal, Group Director of Indorama Corporation, visited the injection site at Patardzeuli in the Kakheti region, together with Rustavi Azot’s General Director Mr. Jay Prakash Jajoo and senior management, to witness this important milestone.
The pilot demonstrated that CO₂ can be safely injected underground with the potential to mineralise into solid rock – a permanent, nature-based solution to emissions.
This breakthrough opens new opportunities for Rustavi Azot Indorama and positions both our company and country at the forefront of advanced carbon management technologies, aligned with future EU regulations. This achievement also reflects Indorama Corporation’s broader commitment to reducing its environmental footprint and advancing sustainable practices across all production sites worldwide.
