Ammonium sulfate is a highly effective nitrogen-based mineral fertilizer that contains two essential elements in one molecule—nitrogen and sulfur. Nitrogen is present in ammoniacal form at a minimum of 21%, while sulfur content is approximately 24%. Ammonium sulfate can be used for a wide range of agricultural crops to provide both basic and additional pre-sowing nourishment. Nitrogen in ammonium sulfate is easily assimilated by plants, while sulfur is highly effective for crops with high sulfur demand. This fertilizer can be applied at any time of the year and is especially suitable for alkaline and weak soils. The quality of ammonium sulfate is determined by seven indicators, and maintaining these within standard limits ensures high efficiency. Compared to other mineral fertilizers, ammonium sulfate does not cake, dissolves easily in water, nitrogen in ammonium form is readily absorbed by plant roots, does not evaporate from the soil in gaseous form, does not wash out due to rain, and is fully assimilable by plants.
