On Tuesday, October 28, the Chairperson of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), Mr. David Narmania, and Commission Member Mr. Giorgi Fangani visited Rustavi Azot Indorama.
The GNERC representatives observed the ongoing modernization processes at the plant and reviewed the operations of the upgraded Sodium cyanide and Nitric Acid workshops. The guests toured the new wastewater treatment unit at the Sodium cyanide production facility, the steam energy-efficient turbine and modernized catalytic purification reactor at the Nitric Acid workshop. After that, the guests were introduced to the new Low-Density Ammonium Nitrate (LDAN) project, which is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026.
The visit once again highlighted the importance of close cooperation and joint efforts between the public and private sectors in advancing energy-efficient and sustainable industrial development.
